Case Study: Transitional Sophistication in Suwanee

Our clients had a vision of a home that felt welcoming and warm. Where hosting is a breeze and everyday life feels a little more refined without sacrificing warmth and comfort. Together, we reimagined their main level to bring thoughtful flow and charm they were looking for.

Key Areas We Worked On

  • Creating a kitchen layout that better fit their day-to-day
  • Opening up the kitchen, dining, and main living areas to feel more cohesive and connected.
  • Refining their powder and laundry rooms to blend perfectly with the rest of the home while bringing in their own personality.
  • Create a bright, comfortable gathering room that invites people to stay a while.

Designing with Purpose

From day one, this project was all about thoughtful design. Using design boards, floor plans, and renderings to help our clients visualize every choice and set the tone for the rest of the construction process.

Kitchen: From Busy to Beautifully Balanced

Our clients were looking for a kitchen that could handle the rhythm of daily life—weeknight dinners, weekend pancakes, and everything in between—while still offering the calm and charm of a retreat.

The original layout didn’t quite match the rhythm of daily life for their family, so we made a few thoughtful changes to better support how they cook, connect, and spend time together.

Here’s how we brought it to life:

  • Two islands now create an easy, natural flow—one near the range for cooking and prep, the other designed for gathering.
  • With custom storage, everyday essentials are right where they need them: pots and pans by the range and a pull-out trash by the prep island.
  • Windows on both sides of the range bring in more natural light and create a clean, balanced focal point.
  • Mixed textures from the warm wood islands, soft white cabinetry, quartz countertops, and gold fixtures create a bright and welcoming space that’s full of character and visual interest.

Now, the kitchen isn’t just easier to use—it’s a place that feels good to be in, whether they’re cooking a meal or just enjoying a moment together.

Bridging the gap between rooms

Our clients wanted their main living spaces to feel more connected—where conversations could flow as easily as people moved from room to room. They envisioned a layout that felt warm, open, and thoughtfully unified.

The wall that once divided these spaces made that hard to achieve in their original layout, so we replaced it with a wood support beam that not only maintained the structure but also echoed the living room’s exposed beams and the kitchen island’s wood base, helping everything feel tied together, both visually and functionally.

Charming Details That Make a Difference

Details like the checkered tile floors in the laundry and powder room, dainty gold fixtures, and warm wood tones add depth and personality to this home, making each room tie together seamlessly while still being uniquely their own.

From Vision to Reality

Throughout the build, our designers and project managers worked side by side to ensure everything aligned with our clients’ goals. Clear communication and strong collaboration made this transformation smooth and successful.

A Home That Reflects Them

This renovation brought new life to a home they already loved—now tailored to their daily rhythms and style. By improving the layout and making functional design choices, the home now flows seamlessly between spaces, ready for hosting and unwinding.
