If your kitchen is going to be down for the renovation, then you need to look at setting up a temporary kitchen in your home. This is glorified camping so we’re talking about a card table, microwave, hot plate, toaster oven – just the basics – and plugging in your refrigerator in that same part of the house so that you can pull together basic meals for your family during the renovation.
Since your normal entertaining areas are going to be out of commission during your renovation, you should think about making memories in a different way! It might be fun to pull out the board games or the puzzles.
Another consideration is your pets. You need to be sure that you have a plan for where you’re going to secure your pets to make sure they don’t get out, and also to keep them safe.
