Lakeside Dream House | Lake Lanier

Our clients came to us with a dream for a lakeside retreat that made everyday living feel effortless, where hosting friends and family came naturally, and the views of Lake Lanier painted the background of all their summer memories. We listened and understood their needs and guided them through every step of bringing that vision to life, ensuring every detail supported the way they wanted to live.

As you step into the home, you’re greeted by a beautifully organized mudroom that sets the tone for calm, featuring open cubbies, warm wood tones, and black hardware for a crisp, modern touch. The laundry room and powder room continues the palette with natural textures, bold-patterned wallpaper, and brass accents.

Natural light floods the kitchen, dining, and living room, creating a soft and airy space that welcomes gathering with ease. Wide-plank LVP floors run throughout, and large picture windows draw your eye straight to the view of Lake Lanier. The kitchen was designed for relaxed hosting, with custom cabinetry and a spacious island that’s perfect for casual mornings. Just off to the side, a bar with open shelving and a built-in beverage fridge adds ease to hosting. In the living and dining areas, soft textures, curated furnishings, and a cozy black stone tile fireplace surround make it easy to settle in. Just beyond the sliding doors, the deck offers even more space to gather—with a large dining table, comfortable lounge seating, and views that make every moment feel a little more special.

The upper level of this home was designed to feel restful and deeply personal. At the top of the stairs, a dramatic Soltaire chandelier draws the eye upward toward a skylight and custom herringbone ceiling detail—an architectural moment that sets the tone for the quieter spaces ahead. The primary suite is a true retreat, created for slow mornings, peaceful evenings, and plenty of space to recharge. Soft textures, gentle blues, and lake-facing picture windows keep the room calm and grounded, while a cozy reading nook makes the most of the views. In the bathroom, the double vanity mirrors are suspended in front of full-length windows, letting natural light pour in when getting ready in the morning. A freestanding tub, double vanity with natural wood cabinetry, and floor-to-ceiling tile complete the spa-like atmosphere.

Two secondary bedrooms reflect the kids’ unique personalities—one serene and airy, the other bold and expressive—each with its own custom en

suite bathroom featuring curated tile, tailored fixtures, and thoughtful lighting. These rooms were designed not just for today but with longevity in mind: spaces that can evolve as the family grows while still feeling deeply personal.

The lower level was designed for play, hosting, and creating memories that linger long after guests head home. At the center of it all is a custom-built bunk room with eight full-size beds arranged in two tiers, each outfitted with individual sconces and outlets so everyone gets their own cozy nook. It’s a playful and practical built-in solution for sleepovers.

Just steps away is the media room, where deep moody paint and theater-style seating create the perfect setting for movie marathons or game day hangouts. Just outside is a kitchenette, complete with a drink fridge, sink, and open shelving—an ideal drop zone for grabbing popcorn, drinks, or late-night snacks. Around the corner, the wine cellar adds a touch of refined utility to the lower level. With handcrafted bottle storage, underlit open shelving, and space for tastings or casual pours, it makes hosting feel both effortless and elevated.

Just outside the sliding doors is the patio designed with one goal in mind: to create a private retreat that feels like a true getaway, without ever leaving home. Stepping outside from the lower level, you’re greeted by a thoughtfully laid out pool deck that feels elevated—literally and stylistically. Surrounded by clean white pavers and rich wood decking, the pool is perched above the lakefront, offering panoramic views while maintaining a sense of intimacy and calm.

Just a few steps away, the covered patio area offers room for dining and relaxing in the shade, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor flow from the lower level. Subtle lighting, natural materials, and careful placement of planters and furniture help create a relaxed atmosphere for quiet mornings with coffee, poolside afternoons with the family, or sunset drinks after a day on the lake. This space was designed to support it all—with ease and beauty. It’s not just a backyard—it’s a retreat.

With every intentional detail and design decision, this home became more than just a lakefront escape—it became the backdrop for new traditions, spontaneous gatherings, and slow, sun-soaked days that turn into lifelong memories. From bunk room sleepovers to poolside evenings and quiet mornings with coffee in hand, it’s a place where laughter lingers, connections grow deeper, and the beauty of Lake Lanier is always within view. We’re grateful to have guided our clients through the process of bringing their vision to life—and even more grateful to know just how much life will be lived in this home.
